NOTES: South Africa was readmitted to FIFA and the CAF in 1992 and it took a few years for the organisation of domestic football to settle down; there having previously been an assortment of leagues and cups for different communities. The current Premiership was only created in time for the 1996-97 season and there are still several cup competitions. The main one (of which the winners are listed above) is the BobSave Superbowl, which dates from 1988 and involves teams from all divisions.
