Breaking the mould is something that Andreas Ivanschitz has become quite accustomed to in his career so far. Not only the youngest player ever to play for Rapid Vienna, in 2006 he jumped to league rivals Red Bull Salzburg. He has also been the youngest ever captain of the Austrian team when he was handed the captain’s armband aged just 19 years and 361 days in October 2003. Not many young players score within 6 minutes of their debut, but young Martin Harnik managed just that, when he was thrown on with 20 minutes left to play in August 2007 during a friendly match with the Czech Republic.
