Town Information
The main town of the touristy Algarve region, more famous for its golf than its football, and the most likely destination for Euro 2004 football fans wanting to lie on the beach between games. The main local club is Farense but they've never achieved much, and will share the stadium with Louletano after the tournament.
Transport
Coaches making the four hour trip to Lisbon leave from Faro bus station throughout the day, and buses number 14 & 16 serve the airport (20 minutes from Faro). The train station is just to the west of the bus station and around five trains run to Lisbon each day.
