The 12th edition of the CONCACAF Gold Cup took place in the United States from the 7th-28th July 2013 at thirteen venues across the country. Twelve teams contested the tournament, initially split into three groups of four, with the top two from each group plus the two best third placed teams going through to the quarter finals.

The qualified teams were: United States (hosts), Mexico (holders), Canada (qualified automatically), Cuba, Trinidad And Tobago, Haiti and Martinique, who all qualified from the Caribbean zone and Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador, Belize and Panama, who all qualified from the Central American zone.
