Confederations Cup 2013 – Brazil

Confederations Cup – Brazil 2013

The 9th edition of the FIFA Confederations Cup took place in Brazil from the 15th-30th June 2013, giving the Brazilian authorities a chance to test some of their venues and logistics ahead of hosting the World Cup the following year. The qualified teams were: Brazil (hosts), Spain (qualified twice as World Cup 2010 & Euro 2012 Winner), Uruguay (Copa America 2011 Winner), Mexico (CONCACAF Gold Cup 2011 Winner), Japan (Asian Cup 2011 Winner), Nigeria (African Cup of Nations 2013 Winner), Tahiti (OFC Nations Cup 2012 Winner) and Italy (Euro 2012 Runner-up as the winners, Spain, had already qualified).
