Euro 1980 – Italy
Group A ¦ Group B ¦ Knockout ¦ Top Scorers
| The sixth edition of the European Championships, held in Italy, was the first time it could really be described as a proper finals tournament. UEFA expanded the competition to include eight teams and introduced a group stage for the first time. There were two groups of four with the winners going straight into the final and the runners up contesting the play-off for third place. The matches were played over twelve days from the 11th-22nd June. |
